Medicare Part C
Definition
Medicare Part C, also called Medicare Advantage, is an alternative way to receive your Medicare benefits through a private insurance company approved by Medicare.
More Detail
Medicare Advantage plans must cover everything Original Medicare covers, but they often include additional benefits like vision, dental, and hearing. These plans typically have networks of doctors and hospitals you must use, which differs from Original Medicare. Most Medicare Advantage plans also include Part D prescription drug coverage.
